Our Pastor
Pastor James Green took up the mantle from Pastor Thrift in October of 2022. He grew up at Temple Baptist Church before attending Heartand Baptist Bible College. He interned at the church for 9 years prior to being called as a Co Pastor.

Founding Pastor Thrift
Pastor Thrift and Mrs. Jimmie were saved in October 1960 at Temple Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. They surrendered to the ministry and soon moved to Georgia. By 1964, Pastor Thrift and Mrs. Jimmie moved to Orlando and attended and served at Temple Baptist Church Orlando. Pastor Thrift was called to preaching and attended bible college and graduated in 1973. They relocated to Owensboro, Kentucky and began pastoring Harvest Baptist Temple. A few years later, Pastor Thrift moved his family back to Orlando, FL where they served alongside the Pastor there. In 1980, they started a church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. They diligently served there before God called them to Deltona, Florida to start Temple Baptist Church in 1986, where they have remained since. Pastor Thrift has remained and will continue to remain steadfast throughout their years of ministry.
